Sous Vide Chef understands how big our country is and tries their very best to make it easy for the customer to shop and know all the costs at the time of checkout not having those hidden shipping charges applied. Sometimes we need to apply a few conditions due to the weight and size of some of our items.

How Long to my Item is Shipped?

Sous Vide Chef takes pride in being able to have items in most cases items are sent out within 1-2 business days of ordering, If the item is out of stock or there is a delay on the shipment to what is stated above we will contact you personally. 

I need my item by a certain date

Sous Vide Chef tries extremely hard to get your shipments out as quick as possible, If you need your item by a certain date please email us at info@sousvidechef.com.au or contact us on 1300 884 209 and we will advise you further. 

How Long to my Item Arrives

In most cases items are shipped via courier and arrive within 2-5 business days after being sent if you are in Western Australia or a remote area it may taken an additional 1-2 days to arrive. All items are sent with tracking information which will be emailed you once the order has shipped.
* Please note if you are having a item shipped to a P.O Box these will be sent via Australia Post and can take slightly longer then normal delivery estimates via a courier.
** Sous Vide Chef has no control over when a item is in transit in the unlikely event additional delays do occur Sous Vide Chef will work with you to resolve any issues. 

Shipping Conditions Over $250

We like to make things simple! so all items over $250 will have FREE SHIPPING! with some exclusions: 

Please note that Northern Territory (NT) & some remote locations of Australia will not be eligible for the free shipping. Sous Vide Chef will try our very best to offer you a competitive/reduced rate. It is applicable that if you are from North Territory (NT) or a remote location you contact us prior to purchasing here or sales@sousvidechef.com.au so we can advise you further.

Shipping Conditions Under $250

We like to make things simple! so all items under $250 will have a flat shipping rate of $20 with some exclusions:

Sous Vide Chef will try our very best to offer you a competitive/reduced rate. If you are from this area you should contact us here prior to purchasing or sales@sousvidechef.com.au so we can advise you further.

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorised your credit card for the purchase.  As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorisation and reach out to you via e-mail.  If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 2 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.


Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery.  If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please send photos to returns@sousvidechef.com.au and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.

Change of Mind:

Sous Vide Chef knows you'll love our products! we do understand  that you may change your mind. In the unlikely event you wish to return the item the following conditions do apply: 

  • You are responsible for all shipping charges including the return shipping and initial delivery charge even if you received free shipping.
  • The item must be unused, in the original packaging and in a resalable condition to be eligible for a return & refund. If it's determined that the items have been used or  not in the original condition and not in a resalable condition the return & refund will be voided.
  • A re-stocking fee of 10% of the full purchase price may apply. 

Cancellations & Refunds:

All orders cancelled prior to being shipped are subject to a $20 administration fee, If your order(s) has shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges and initial shipping charges even if you have received free shipping. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order(s)

Excellent book, great service

I purchased “At Home with Sous Vide” from Sous Vide Chef for a couple of reasons, firstly it was written in Oz and because I had read reviews of the book all of which were good. I have been impressed by the book, it’s content and illustrations and the fact that it was contributed to by a crew with great expertise and experience. It’s early section has an excellent coverage of the basics and right at the back a comprehensive Time and Temperature Chart which is very useful. It also uses metric units and centigrade (as well as Fahrenheit). The many recipes offer an excellent range of seemingly choice options, to which I am looking forward to testing out. Very pleased I purchased this item. The service I received from Sous Vide Chef was great, I bought the book on line and it was delivered in a couple of days and arrived suitably packed and in mint condition.

Fantastic my 1 beside Sous Vide @ Home by Lisa F

I am a food science researcher I have 4 Sous Vide systems. What Dale has done is bring the Worlds Chefs to my Food Lab. With Sousvide I can use any amount of produce from my Food Forest. Right now today I am busy with Agretti scallops and Mango chicken breast with Tapenade, I add figs, apricots almonds to the normal mix! The recipes in Dales book just expand the Fantastic world of Sous Vide in my kitchen, Love It!

I bought a polyscience chef series machine, cambro with fitted lid and a sous vide cook book (sous vide @ home).The book has great recipes and beginners infornation.
